Live in a Dorm? Be an EcoRep! |
|
By putting in as little as 1 volunteer hour per week, you can volunteer to be an EcoRep (aka "Ecological Representative") for your wing or floor. You'll get to make friends, have access to all the resources of the CEC, and make a real difference for the world we share just by talking to your neighbors. Tasks include educating fellow residents about easy ways they can conserve water and energy, conducting a quick recycling inventory for your residence hall, helping advertise our dorm energy challenge, and more! No previous experience is required. For more information and to sign up, click here. We also are looking for Residence Hall Conservation Leaders to help lead environmental initiatives in their residence hall; see the EcoReps website for more information. |

The Campus Environmental Center is the Agency of Student Government charged with connecting UT's sustainble future with student development and community engagement. Since 2002, the CEC has directly engaged some 15,000 individuals (mostly students) in projects ranging from our residence hall EcoReps network to the successful campaign for a UT Sustainability Policy. We have recycled tens of tons of materials through our plastic, aluminum, inkjet, and Trash to Treasure recycling programs and look forward to continue advancing sustainable solutions at UT. Thanks for visiting our website, don't be shy to contact any of our many leaders or sign up to Get Involved!
