Welcome to theCampus Environmental Center

The University of Texas Campus Environmental Center is the largest organization on campus for UT students interested in the environment. We are a sponsored student organization under Campus Planning and Facilities Management, in the University Operations portfolio.

The mission of the CEC is to empower the UT community to reduce its negative environmental impact and to foster a genuine culture of sustainability on campus through collaborative and constructive means. The CEC in involved in many areas of UT Campus and is a diverse organization. Our projects range from Trash to Treasure, a campus wide garage sale, to the day to day management of recycling bins on campus. Below, under featured projects, are key committees and events that make up the CEC every year. Please explore all of our different projects and committees.
